What's Wrong With Your Equipment?

Select your symptom below. We diagnose and fix the root cause, not just the surface issue.

โŒ

"It Won't Start at All"

Usually a carburetor issue, spark plug failure, or stale fuel. We'll flush the system and restore ignition.

๐Ÿ’จ

"Excessive Smoke"

Blue or black smoke indicates burning oil or a rich fuel mixture. We'll adjust valves and check piston rings.

ใ€ฐ๏ธ

"Excessive Vibrations"

Often caused by bent crankshafts, unbalanced blades, or loose mounting bolts. Safety inspection required.

๐Ÿ“‰

"Loss of Power Under Load"

Engine bogs down when cutting grass or under strain. We clean carburetors and adjust the governor.

๐Ÿงต

"Oops, The Rope Broke"

Starter rope snapped or won't retract? We replace recoil springs and install heavy-duty pull cords.

๐Ÿ”Š

"Funny or Unusual Noises"

Knocking, pinging, or screeching. We'll perform a deep internal diagnostic to prevent catastrophic failure.

Frequently Asked Questions

Expert answers to the most common small engine and equipment issues.

Why won't my equipment start after sitting all winter?

The most common culprit is stale fuel. Gasoline degrades in as little as 30 days, causing varnish buildup that clogs the microscopic jets inside your carburetor. We recommend draining old fuel at the end of the season or using a high-quality fuel stabilizer.

What is the difference between 2-cycle and 4-cycle engines?

A 4-cycle engine (mowers, generators) has a dedicated oil crankcase and uses straight gasoline. A 2-cycle engine (trimmers, chainsaws, blowers) requires a specific ratio of oil to be physically mixed directly into the gasoline to lubricate the internal components.

Why is my engine smoking heavily?

Blue or thick white smoke indicates the engine is burning oil, often caused by overfilling the crankcase, tipping the mower on its wrong side, or worn piston rings. Black smoke means the engine is running "rich" (burning too much fuel), usually due to a restricted air filter or carburetor failure.

How often should I change my oil and spark plug?

For peak performance and longevity, we strongly recommend changing the oil and installing a fresh spark plug at the start of every season, or every 50 hours of heavy operation.

Do you sharpen mower blades?

Absolutely. A sharp, perfectly balanced blade is critical for the health of your turf and reduces unnecessary strain on your engine. Blade sharpening and precision balancing are standard inclusions in our full tune-up packages.
